Players in a musical commemoration of the Lewis
and Clark Expedition. The Equinox Chamber Players will pay special homage to
Sacagawea with David Cleary's new commissioned work entitled Sacagawea:
Three Life Episodes, Shoshone Circle Dances and Greg Steinke's Sacagawea
In Memoriam. Other music includes old favorites, such as Soldier's Joy.
Participate in this wonderful Music and Dance Festival from 10 am – 4 pm.

February 27th, 2005, 1:00 p.m. Brentwood Greatland Target presents the Equinox Chamber Players in a performance of Cat in the Hat in celebration of Read Across America, a National Education Association annual program. Come hear music and narration of the Cat in the Hat during a fun-filled afternoon of activities. Read Across America takes place each year on the birthday of beloved children's author Dr. Seuss whose 101th birthday is this year. Target Corporation team members will follow up with visits to local schools, helping teachers with classroom reading activities.

Equinox Chamber Players and Composer-in-Residence Gwyneth Walker Celebrate Music In Our Schools Month®!
The Equinox Chamber Players join the National Association of Music Educators
in recognition of Music In Our Schools Month® officially designated for the
month of March, the time of year when music education becomes the focus of
schools across the nation. The Equinox Chamber Players have commissioned
Vermont composer Gwyneth Walker to create a
special work for our school and community concerts. Fun-damentals of Music, for woodwind quintet with audience participation, has been described by the composer as an "interactive quintet." Various musical elements (melody, harmony, rhythm and form) will be explored in an entertaining dialogue between the quintet and the audience. Read about our concerts and community events below.
